Lab Rotations
Students will normally complete three laboratory rotations during the first year before choosing a graduate research director. At least two of the rotations must be at different universities. The SB3 Program Director will assign students to lab rotations.
Students begin to individualize their programs by learning specialized techniques in their rotation labs. Rotation advisors give their students reading lists and conduct oral examinations prior to the end of the rotation. A written evaluation and list of mastered techniques is included in each student's file.
